Ascot International School became a member of The Council of International Schools (CIS) in March 2006 and achieved full accreditation on June 1st, 2011 becoming one of an internationally recognized group of quality educational facilities.
Accreditation is a flexible but rigorous and continuous process involving an initial two-year Self Study. The school is evaluated in terms of a set of comprehensive CIS standards for accreditation in addition to the school’s own guiding statements; our Ascot Mission statement. The standards ensure that the school is offering an international education of the highest quality. Standards cover the following areas of school operations: Philosophy and Objectives, Curriculum, Governance and Management, Staff, Student Support Services, Resources, Student and Community Life and Thai Language and Culture. The standards encompass three ‘driving ideas’
The decision to award accreditation is based on a comprehensive report prepared by a Visiting Team. The Visiting Team spends up to a week in the school to observe adherence to the standards.
