As an international school in Thailand we are required by the government to provide the following courses for our pupils:

Thai A : A large proportion of our faculty are Thai and they are required by law to take five periods of Thai per week. Naturally they are generally already fluent in their mother tongue when they arrive at the school so Thai A is a course centered around reading and writing the Thai language. We employ only government licensed specialist teachers at ASCOT.

Thai B: For foreign pupils Thai is also a legal requirement however the required number of periods is only 2 per week, we call this Thai B. This course is for beginners although some of our foreign pupils have been here for a while and exhibit a good level of fluency! We also discuss Thai culture , history and other matters that might help the children settle into their new home.
