Dear All,

Welcome back to what I’m sure will be another exciting academic year here at Ascot and what better way to start the year than by announcing our outstanding IGCSE results. With 90% of our students being awarded between A* - C in 5 or more of their IGCSEs, we are absolutely delighted and so proud of our Year 11 students. Congratulations too to the hardworking and dedicated team of teachers for ensuring the students were pushed academically every step of the way.

I should also like to take this opportunity to welcome all our new students to the Ascot family this academic year, as our student body continues to grow to over 360 students. So much lies ahead including introducing our wonderful, enthusiastic new staff; technological advances in our teaching methodologies; tremendous expansion of our libraries and of course the action packed curricular and extra-curricular programmes.

I am thoroughly looking forward to this 2011/12 academic year at Ascot and I wish each and every one of you a happy and prosperous year.
